I recently bought a new bike and the seat's started slipping already. I removed the seat and there's already some paste/grease on the seat post. Do I need to get rid of this before applying a new coat of carbon paste? And if so, how do I clean it off? Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

I have carbon seatpost and i used adaptor in order to fit the seatpost on seat tube, but it is slipping even though i put rubbing compound on a seatpost, what should i do?
Having the same problem only to find out that Ive the same bike as in the video.
And if it's really pissing you off, get a clamp for the post so it stays at a set height. Just make sure it doesn't move left to right

Get a wooden broom handle, cut it to size, stick it in the seat tube followed by seat and voila!!

Hmmm. I have to remove my saddle every time I put the bike in my car (MX5, in case you're wondering...).I also have to drop the seat post all the way down.Will this insert upset this necessity?
