I used these for several months last summer (15-20 days of riding), and they worked great. I had the old metal Anything cages with 2-3 lbs in each bag, and 22-24 oz Hydroflasks mounted on the water bottle mounts with Topeak Java cages. Totally solid and didn't affect handling. I didn't protect my forks, and when I removed the mounts at the end of the season, there were no marks on the fork legs. Previously I was using nylon adapters on the forks to mount my cages, and had 2 of them shatter over a few months.

How's the ride with the extra unsprung weight? More weight on the wheel side of the suspension will reduce the responsiveness of the suspension.

This looks like the better option. I had previously purchased something else:If I had known about this product, I probably would have gone for the Fork Link instead. The Gorilla Clips are not the easiest to figure out, as you'll have to get a little creative when mounting the Anything Cage HD to them.
