WoW ! Nice idea ! I tried https://www.amazon.com/bluekeyworld Cable Clips and it helped my organization
What tires are those? They look like they would be great for pavement gravity racers.
Thank you for the the money and time you just saved me!
The zip tie will outlast the frame
I have done this on so many thing on my bike over the years, like if you have a Potts mod you can zip tie the front cable out of the way and its not hitting your bars.
Hi
Beach cruiser probably won't fit 😏
What about guides for large diameter tubing? I've searched and aside from guides that use double sided tape, the only guides that are secure are the ones that are mounted with a tiny machine screw and nylon nut. The largest ones I found of those only go up to 1 3/8"(34.9mm).

it looks like it'll scratch the paint.
where can you buy these from?
Better than the spring clips are the screw on variety in stainless steel, just because stainless steel! (and nobody steels them)
i have a bike that needs to fix its tires , cables and chain clips. are those things difficult to fix on four own?
hope u plastic is uv stabilised or they won't last long before they get brittle & break,
Was looking for some tips to install c-clip cable guides - I just got some and they are very hard to snap in.
Kick ass bike!
whoa, I cringed when that clip snapped on, And that did NOT scratch? daymn! much better than the old school one's I've collected and horded off of the old school vintage 10speeds.
I knew when he said buy two packs they were on his website! Haha
Nice! Beats using tie wraps or electrical tape for sure.
A handy piece for sure
How many of these would you part with at a time, and what sizes do you have, I'd like to fill a hardware drawer with these.
i couldn’t get a close enough camera shot; but I didn’t know how meticulous the cabling process requires; now i know when i get brake adjustments at whatever bike shops i’ve been to, the adjustment is solid for on avg two days..they are not putting in the precision you are. I have to learn to do it myself. thnx..
If you aren't grinding the ends of the housing flat & perpendicular, then you aren't doing it right. It's an entire additional step, but worth it. Cutting housing, especially wound brake housing ends up with an angled end. And worse: oftentimes the wire will fold over on itself, so you have to really pay attention to removing that AND grinding. When the ends aren't flat & perpendicular, that's when you get flex in the system, leading to squishy braking and questionable index shifting.
You should do a review of those shimano cable cutters.there is no YouTube review of those
Put the camera closer so we can see what you're doing
Why plastic ferrule caps? It is the easiest I can find to buy on Amazon, but my Google searches say to buy metal, as they have less squish and are stiffer so the tension you set on the derailleur stays steady.
Wanker.
No offense, but as opposed to wasting a bit of my time there at the end of the video (it was actually even longer since I found myself having to replay that last part a couple times to figure out what the hell I was watching seeings how the informative portion just ended abruptly) You could have taken a moment to go over using that crimping tool for those of us who haven't used one before, which I'm going to go out on a limb in assuming that refers to the majority of us watching this video to begin with yeah? I'm not trying to be a cynic, it's just that was the whole reason I'd clicked this vid to begin with & you failed to even cover it...
I used this method for pushing the end-cap (Jagwire) on the housing (Jagwire) and... there are still 5mm of gap inside. Really, make a test and see for yourself. Your method is VERY VERY WRONG.
A premium ferrule/cable/housing assembly, as mentioned by Simon (below) goes like this: Insert Cable into housing pulling out sufficient excess to work with. Place hard plastic seal ring seating sleeve onto cable. It fits around the cable and into the ferrule. So it is a very small part. Next, work the rubber dust & water seal ring (even smaller) onto cable. Insert prepared cable into ferrule. The compression of the rubber ring by the pressure of the housing keeps everything nice and dry.
OK but not remotely close to a guide to ferrule fitting, eg. did you know that there are ferrules that have in-built washers to exclude water & dust?
wah nice video great video and details thanks👍👏
Hello! Still using them? :)) How did you like them after a long mileage? Thanks!
Now I really want these. Thanks bro(sarcastically
Thank you for the video, it's very helpful! Here are some more advantages and tips of ILINK for reference: - 5mm Standard ILINK for brake is 50% lighter than regular brake housing and 4mm Mini ILINK is 30% lighter than 5mm one. - Inner liner doesn't need to be cut in the middle, but keep it from lever side till the end, so that it can be 100% waterproof and dustproof. Also it will provide you a stabler, smoother performance of controlling system, because no fault in the middle. - Normally ILINK housing will be a little bit longer(1~3 pcs links longer), because it has little space between each links, and it should be compressed by adjusting your gear or brake system. (shifting your gear system 2~3 times until ILINK is all compressed, and adjust again after riding few times) - Truly linked together, max angle protection, prevent bending or broken your liner and cables. The technical idea here: http://www.alligatorcables.com/category-Alligatorilink-sup-TM--sup--Cable-Kit-Alligatorilink-Cable-Kit.html - Others such as easily cleaning... Save money because I don't need to change whole housing, only change liner or cable, and also good for recycling... And you can freely add or reduce the length for different bicycles...
I want to ask, If you can cut it just only use fingers, doesn't it mean easier to broke/crash??
