I'm quite pissed off because they just forgot about the 9.7 inch version and just put in 10.5 and 12 inch versions

This is still really good in 2020, even better with iOS 13 lol. I’m in college and the Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard makes it really good for doing work.

Just finished Monument Valley 1 & 2, and came back to this review because the music sounded familiar to me. and voilà! I was a proud owner of the 9.7 iPad Pro before I gifted to someone else. Gorgeous speakers, gorgeous design, gorgeous screen. It’s a wonderful computer, even today. It hasn’t aged a day. With iPadOS, it’s even better. “This is NOT a cheap iPad” I agree with you, but I got this for 250 on eBay, brand new. An added 20 dollars, and I got a case and Apple Pencil. Be cheap, and use places like eBay.

And make sure to check out PaperLike 2 to eliminate fingerprints + add an incredible Apple Pencil experience had a newer iPad Pro that I paid $800 for and it wasn’t compatible with my schoolwork. Sold it and got a laptop but missed procreate. Just snagged a 2016 IPad Pro 9.7 and Apple Pencil for a little under $200 and love it.

I still have this today cuz 2020 made me broke and I can't afford a new one. I use an Apple Pencil to take notes and unfortunately, the 3rd party note-taking apps are getting slower, namely OneNote and Paper. The Apple Notes app that comes with iOS still works great though. However, I don't use the Apple notes app, so, I am basically f-ed. And I am hoping to get a new iPad soon. Surprisingly, besides hand notetaking and gaming, this iPad is still very smooth, and the battery is still kinda good. Still, can't wait to get a new one.

I have this very model, as well as the Apple magnetic keyboard. At the beginning of the year, I was thinking of upgrading it to the latest iPad Pro, but just for the sake of it, as the 9.7’’ was still great. I ended up not upgrading and have not regretted for a minute. Some models fairly older than this one will not run the latest iOS but it’s not the case here. I still see no point in spending another thousand bucks for basically a better display and more speed that in all honesty you won’t even notice in a new device.

Dude this thing still going 80% as strong and is as speedy as when I bought it in 2016! Like, yes, the new iPads are ofc faster, but not as much as people think. I really never have almost no stutters, no frame drops, no lag. What more do you want? I am going to use this at least 2 years more. Currently I don’t need the new Apple Pencil and the bigger and better display. Only reason to switch would be those 2 things.

I still use mine (128gb WiFi/Cell) and it legit still works with no lag. Impressive iPad. The camera doesn’t have iOS but is super usable if you need it and honestly. I love it and I normally stay pretty current. Screen is better then the gen 8 iPad too which is neat

How to update iPados 9.3.5 in 2020
The iPad Air 1 should be iPad 5, the Air 2 should be iPad 6, this 9.7 Pro should be iPad 7 with all the features except the smart connector, and the new iPad Air 4 should have a 9.7 inch display without the smart connector but with a FaceID to perfect the lineup and it should be called iPad X. The 11 inch iPad Pro should have a 4:3 display and should have it's dimensions similar to that of the first gen iPad. Would be a great marketing benefit. The Air 3 which has the form factor of the iPad Pro 10.5, should be called iPad SE. And yeah no 10.2 inch bullcrap.

This latest model is top notch JustU.Faith/iPadProo?憧 Easy to set up using my older iPad Pro. What I have already noticed are two significant upgrades. The speakers are much better and the battery life is noticeably better.

I actually have the iPad Pro 9.7 inch I did have the iPad 2 but it was total trash it did not have Touch ID it was stuck at IOS 9.3.6 and it did not have a lightning connector it had the 13 pin connector and half of the apps on my phone my old iPad did not support and it did not even have SIRI with like no storage

I am using a 128gb WiFi/ Cellular version in 2021 and it’s pretty great. Never lags and works perfect. Battery is still a beast too but my cousin who gave it to me didn’t use it much.
Had it from Christmas 2016, still is good for gaming in 2021 I’m not upgrading any time soon

My nana was an artist and she passed recently and had a glut of older iPad models. My moms mailing me this very model iPad I plan to set up for my dad while he’s stuck in the hospital with Covid for easier time reading text and FaceTime. Ideally I’d like to get a 12” model but for free I’ll make it work. I have my own iPad Pro a 512gb model and the last one they made with the button which I’m thrilled with although I’ve left it on iOS 10 for older app support.

I have had this iPad for 4.5 years and it's still quite fast. The battery life after 500 cycles is not what it used to be though.

I just ordered this (refurbished). All iPads released after 2015 are compatible with the latest version of the Procreate app it's probably not any different to a regular ipad but I didn't want to get a new one and this fit the budget

I have used the iPad pro 9.7" since my father bought for me in 2016 with a gold color. It is a good device EVEN today. Before I'm going to upgrade to iPad Air 4th gen on next month as my iPad Pro 9.7" has a lot of major problems, its touchable display is half-dead and no longer respondable, dead camera, dead 1st speaker, etc., I cannot say it is better, but mostly, has a good performance and even it still has the headphone jack, which later iPad models will no longer include (expect iPad mini 5 and iPad 8) . It is a good choice since when I decided to buy the "big" iPad pro (12.9") which I didn't think I could afford for it . Performance is still not bad even today to be honest, despite having some laggy and slowly loading
