just bought 12.9 ipad pro 4th gen 512gb wifi-cellular new condition with plastic wrap still on it from ebay for $980 with tax and shipping included. It also includes 1yr of apple warranty. No box cable or anything else which I don't really care. I haven't received it but I truly hope it's in new condition as stated.
People don't seem to understand that you can't upgrade to cellular later down the line. Once you've made that decision, that's it. I recently ordered an M1 iPad Pro and didn't hesitate to get the cellular model. Bear in mind this decision was based on me wanting one since 2018 so I've had a LONG time to figure out how I function and if I really needed the cellular or not. For context, I'm a digital artist who's in their last year of uni. Life is going to get pretty unpredictable from there on out. I traveled a lot before COVID. I got family in Latvia and their internet setup is abysmal. I also don't trust public wi-fi. I normally use a pay-as-you-go plan on my phone so sometimes I can go for a month or two without any DATA. So I won't be able to use it as a hotspot for the iPad. The times that I do have an active plan, I don't want to waste my phone's battery. I've got a very old phone, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and it's showing its age when it comes to battery drainage. The cellular also has GPS which you can't get on the wi-fi only model and this can be incredibly useful. Lastly, you DON'T have to use the cellular plan if you don't want to. But the option is always there and that flexibility is amazing and worth paying a little extra money for. Not to mention the resale price and value of an iPad with cellular is significantly higher compared to the wi-fi only version. Provided you took good care of your device of course. Yes, people can keep saying the same thing over and over: ''Use a hotspot, use a hotspot!'' That's not going to work for everyone. If it does for you, great. People have their reasons for getting one with or without cellular. We all function differently and have our own life/work styles. Just my two cents.

For me I don’t get why you would restrict yourself by buying a WiFi only device ? when cellular options are available you go for it, where possible I always buy the pro version + cellular, heck even my iPad mini 5 is cellular. My iPad Pro 11 + my iPad mini have imbedded sims, physical trays to accept carrier sims, plus APPLE’S own branded sim that can be linked to a local provider. Yes it’s horrendously expensive, but that’s APPLE, it’s the reassurance you get that the APPLE eco system all works pretty much seamlessly.

Activate your mobile Hotspot, you saved 150 bucks. Alright now people gonna say, about battery drain. Bpi go and buy a power bank for mobile, it minimally costs around 15-20$. You still have 130 bucks. I donno but i was confused but many people here are going with wifi and i also thing wasting 150 bucks for juss a cellular doesn't worth at all!

I would say you have missed one thing that you can connect to Iphone internet trough wifi without entering password since both devices in one icloud eco system). Sharing internet a little bit change the experience, but ofcourse still not the same as ipad with lte
