Excellent review as always. I've ordered my iPad mini 6, 5G cellular with 256gb of storage but it probably won't be delivered before January 7th. I'm in the fourth category of persons you mentioned for whom this device is a dream. I already own a 1TB iPhone 13 Pro Max and the latest MacBook Air, so I'm likely to use this primarily for note taking, media consumption, social media, web browsing and multi-tasking. It's portability makes it the perfect device for those activities so I don't have to lug around my laptop just so I can take advantage of a larger screen.. And while I love ProMotion on my iPhone 13 Pro Max, it will not bother me one bit that the mini doesn't have it. I've already tested it in the Apple store and didn't miss it and wasn't bothered at all by the so called jelly scroll. I get it that the absence of ProMotion is a dealbreaker for you. I'm just glad it isn't for me because, frankly, I have no desire whatsoever to purchase any other iPad iteration that Apple offers. That all being said, keep up the good work!

Honestly this was the perfect iPad, but the cellular option wasn’t compatible with my carrier, so I had to send it back for the Air. Apple makes some pretty cool devices.

After watching your review, I went to my local Best Buy to try out the iPad mini. It’s REALLY noticeable and it almost makes you think you have a defective screen. I’ll wait till we get a model WITHOUT jelly scroll. (OLED) if it never happens, then oh well I’ll stick with my pro models…
I have heard that the jelly scroll problem only happens in portrait and not in landscape I always use my tablets in landscape, so can you tell me is this true? Nice review, subscribed

Ipads are good eyecandy and tempting to buy....but I keep running into the same wall: if you already have an iPhone 12 or 13 pro....why get an iPad. For me, Literately no need because using the iPad more means the iPhone will lay on the table all day, and using the iPhone means iPad lays around all day. Like Marques said, I feel iPad are more geared towards specific complex uses, like smarthome stuff, school, or for pilots...

I'm a furniture salesmen for one of the 'major big furniture stores and IT deploys iPad Minis to salespeople like me because it's perfect for walking around the showroom with customers taking down orders on our point of sale app and showing them photos of furniture. Way easier than holding a full sized iPad, although IT does give you the option between the mini and full size iPad. 90% of salespeople chose the iPad mini. Just an example of "who uses this?"

It'd be so great if they just gave it 120hz screen, & a better display tech & I think that's it. Oh and a better front facing camera, the same one as the pro. Man just make the iPad pro mini , I'd buy it immediately
I absolutely love mine! I upgraded from an iPad Air 1 so it doesn't really matter what I get since I came from an obsolete model. I use it mostly for reading. It's easier to bring it and easier to read things on the go, compared to the larger iPad Air. and its just the right size when you want to read in bed or even watch Netflix.

I sold my iPad Pro 10.5 a few months ago to trade on for an M1 MacBook Air. I really miss having an iPad though. Especially for reading and note taking. I never needed to have massive screen real estate for those purposes so I think this may be perfect for me. Especially on the go. I never used the keyboard for my old iPad Pro since I had a MacBook for any long typing. Thanks Rene for the review.
I disabled the apple pencil's double tap feature after a few weeks of using it because I keep accidentally triggering it when adjusting my grip. sad that there are no sensitivity settings for it.
It has jelly scroll issue in portrait mode, the way almost everyone will use it. Bad choice by apple and disappointing to see in person.

It’s all the nice that iPhone is coming up with better faster nicer models if we take away the camera and somewhat improves 120 60 hz bigger screens and considering I use Facebook Whatapp Linken TikTok , Ted , and YouTube videos Instagram sometimes air travel right for four not so much games then is there any difference between iPhone 7 and 13 especially in terms of cash outlay. I know they are all great iPhone no question about it but really if my app usage is confined to 1015 does really make a difference to pay in South Africa 24,000 and then you can basically bit by a car
