I bought this directly from Anker on Ebay. In contrast to Amazon, you get an 18-month warranty when you buy from Anker. I am glad I did. The first one I got was defective and won't charge my Galaxy S8 from 40% to 100 %. The charger ran out of juice after my phone reached 80% charge. The Anker support was exceptional. Got a replacement within 3 days and this one works great. Charges my phone to 100 % quickly & I can use it 2-3 times before I need to charge it. Very happy.

Thanks for the run down on the slim banks. Does the check battery status button on any of the units actually also function as an on/off switch as well? In other words, could you be discharging into something, leave the USB cord plugged into both accessories, push the off button and stop the battery from discharging? Thanks heaps.

You should let everyone know when the red light on the power bank charger turns from red to green, then we know that the charger in fully charged.

Hi Honest Reviews. I just bought the Anker mini. You made great points. The Anker powercore mini uses an 18650 lithium ion. Those cells cost more. The Anker 5000 on Amazon has a lithium polymer battery. Charges your device faster and also chargers itself faster. And they are cheaper than l-ion batteries. The downside is that lipo will lose capacity very quickly.
Thank you for the really good review. I hope the Anker will work with my GoPro and a little more research will tell. FYI. I am not an expert, but, battery life is measured in "cycles" that is the number of discharge and recharge events the battery will undergo before it reaches its point of entropy.
