I would recommend using one of your car vents if they are in a convenient location. You can find a magnet that works in car vents that should work w the metal sheet you placed behind your phone. One I’ve used w/ success is the SCOSCHE MAGVM2B MagicMount Magnetic Vent Mount Holder.
That Gorilla Tape is good as long as temperatures inside the car don’t go above 70 degrees...

The disk is not the magnet, its just metal. the magnet is the mount. guess its kind of irrelevant unless you have a galaxy note. the pen will not work properly if you have a magnet attached to your phone.

The glue will clean off the dashboard but over time sunlight will lighten the rest of the dashboard while the round area under the disk will remain dark. If you ever intend on reselling the car I wouldn't use this product as you will have a dark round spot in the center of the dash.
