Ever lost a contact lens somewhere? Where is the weirdest place you have found them?
Don’t get precision 1. They are really really hard to take out. You’ll freak out And after u take them out... if you take em out your eyes will hurt
I've been wearing contact lenses for 28 years. I tried the coopervision 54% hydrogels (BC 8.4) and the daily total1 lenses (BC 8.5)... I have GPC and for whatever reason the coopervision lenses caused a mild dull pain after a couple hours.. Daily total 1 definitely won between the 2.. however I cant afford them, so I went back to air optix night and day (BC 8.6).. they are still more comfortable than the coopervision daily hydrogels. Although I know switching to dailies would be better for my GPC. not sure if it had to do with the BC because I'm 8.6 and I believe they were 8.4.. at same time why would my eye doctor give me the wrong BC???? My eye doctor of over 30 years retired and finding a new eye doctor that I trust hasn't happened yet and I'm not going back to this last one.
I decided not to go for lasik at all i rather stick with lenses
Just started wearing contacts yesterday. The biotrue one day is now sold under Walmart's in house brand eureka. So far the only complaint I have is the learning curve of putting them in, would recommend

Eww I wouldn’t recommend Acuvue I tried both the oaysis & trueye. Both became dry & uncomfortable after a few hours, although trueye was a bit better. My previous eye dr seemed to push Acuvue brand a lot. I switched drs and will inquire about the Dailes brand.

I started struggling with dry eyes when I had my first baby 6 years ago and it's never really improved since. I never had a problem before then with just the normal 2 week lenses, even wearing them long hours. My doctor recommended the Total 1 and they were comfortable, but I was still getting itchy eyes near the end of the day. I've pretty much switched to full-time glasses at this point and it's annoying (although fashionable!); I feel like I just can't see as well. If those weren't working, am I out of luck with contacts? Can those temporary hormonal shifts cause a permanent dry eye issue? And LOL, yup - totally struggled to get the Total 1's out of my eyes!
I don't know if you've done that but, I'm a rigid contact lenses cause of keratoconus ... I'm wearing currently the brand LCS (French brand) I don't know if there're a lot of rigid lenses brand tho

If you have a 40dkt lens like the B&L, would you recommend to wear them shorter or less often? Or can you go 16h/7days without having to fear consequences because of a lack of oygen?
What brands of daily lenses caters for a prescription with astigmatism? i have failed three contact lens practice trials at the opticians (i am in London) as they don't use daily ones and i have heard they are far more comfy and easier to use for a big baby like me lol!

Hey im new to contacts and my for some reason my contacts aren't as clear as my glasses, and the doctor said it's because I have a small stigmatism, but not big enough to get a stigmatism lense, do you know what the best lense for that problem is or the best thing I can do to see clearer out my contacts
can someone help me with just 2-3 simple questions? 1 - whats the best Dailies for a heavy smoker like me? 1A - also, im an UberEats motorcycle rider, and ride the roads 10 hours a day, where there's a lot of smoke, dust, debris, etc. Whats the most durable Dailies for me with a high DK/T? 2 - whats the best type of eyedrop i can bring with me everyday in my small pocket (where we always keep coins and change) where i can apply drops every hour on the dot, based on the above conditions? 3 - also, i have a habit of washing out my eyes (like i stare into the shower head for a second or two, a few times) in the shower every morning. or cup a pool of water in my hands to fill up my eyes. like straight up, heated, tap water, thats chlorinated etc. cuz i'd be wearing contacts afterwards for the rest of the day. is this an actually bad habit? i currently wear glasses (-850) and its incredibly painful on my ears, wearing a helmet (and the covid facemask) nonstop for 10 hours a day under the hot tropical sun, and incredibly inconvenient when i accidentally touch my glasses and it gets stained with oil or sweat, or it gets splashed with rain/ etc etc etc. ive considered lasik/ prk/ smile, but lemme try dailies first - i kinda like the idea that theres a layer of plastic literally protecting my entire pupil/ iris anyways.

B&L ripped me off! My optometrist sold me on B&L contacts at $630 i figured he marked them up $200 because a B&L brochure offerred $200 rebate. it became a 400point rebate that was garbage what a rip-off! B&L stooped so low.
I use air optix and never remove them until the 30 days are up. Been about 1.5 years now and zero issues.
There was almost a time I was worried that I could not find a contact conferrable for my Astigmatism. I don't like wearing glasses. The good news is my astigmatism is not that high and I can sometimes get away with not wearing any len wear, however, I like to have some type of lens wear on stand by when I need them. Even though I don't like wearing glasses I still have a pair on standby in case I need them. I have tried a couple of brands Accuve Onassis the contact curled too much and it does not do a cereal bowl shape to tell if you have it on the correct way. I am trying Bausch +Lomb ultra they are okay and conferrable, but my left eye is not getting sharp vision like my right eye. So I think that is a sign that I should stick to Air Optix. They were the only contact lens that fit good so I may go back to those.

Hi! I use bauch and lombs monthly contact lenses. I usually wear contact lenses on alternate days, i.e on every alternate day i wear contact lenses and then i wear spectacles. So in that case since i wear these contacts only for 15 days a month, so can i use it for 2 months?
monthly biofinity, but i've had a few mishaps where i have had to toss pairs and get a new one, so they don't always last a month, but it's nice to know that i have that option for my budget.
Hello 👋 i had a question. My eyeglass prescription is as follows OD:-4.50 cyl -1.25 170 axis OS:-4.75 cyl -1.00 180 axis My contact lens prescription is -4.75 -1.25 180 axis on both eyes Now im not sure but i think im being overprescribed. I was using-4.50 -1.25 180 axis for years without an issue but due to GPC i had slightly blurred vision which i feel is the reason why my optometrist increased my prescription . Looking into it i feel i been giving the wrong prescription for years however my vision is clear . In the long run what effect can this have . Im 27 years old i have been using glasses since age 9 and contacts for about 12 years

I'm law enforcement Agent, I wear Bio finity. My contacts are adjusted to looking at my sites. Left is toric and right is bi focal.
I tested a set of the biofinity energys for a month and I disliked them a lot. For whatever reason they produce a slightly blurry image which I guess is the intent of the lens sense the marketing material claims that it disperses some of the light coming through the lens which supposedly helps relieve eye strain. I have never had problems with eye strain so I ditched them when my usual lenses showed up after being on back order.
I had air optx with hydraglade ...I'm able to wear day and night for 5 days then on 6th day let it soak (doctor instructions) I love it

These are by far, the best contact lenses to me. It's a bit pricy, but I would rather pay to be more comfortable and get more oxygen through my eyes! Now, I only wear contact lenses when I am going outside. When I am at home all day, which happens at least 1 day a week, I wear glasses. By doing things this way, I cut down the expense for my contact lenses.
I love these contacts, I often forget I'm wearing them.
