Plantronics are worst headsets and worst customer service after care. I have a pile of their worthless junk. 3 to be exact and they are all useless. I will never buy another. They do not last at all.

HI PURCHASED MY THIRD HEADSET. TWO WERE RETURNED DUE TO TECH PROBLEMS. THE THIRD, I PAID MORE FOR IT IN FACTORY SEALED BOX. HOWEVER, THE DESCRIPTION ON END OF BOX INDICATED 5200/R. DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS "R" STANDS FOR? HOPEFULLY NOT A RENEWAL. I PAID TOO MUCH FOR A RENEWAL. I TRIED TO CONTACT PLANTRONICS WITH NO RESULTS. THANKS
Got a Naztech N750 at Fry's Electronics. Had it a week. Def needs fine tuning. Microbial green led you can barely see to let you know it's on. When it's outta reach of the phone...it beeps for 5min. If you don't make it back to the car in time...you need to manually connect it again. Doesn't tell you the hrs of talk time left. Synced it with my contacts. Lists the # but not the name of who's calling. Gotta manually connect it every morning to my work phone. Doesn't have voice prompts. Moved to NT cuz Plantronics IS CRAP. It'll show on the phone it's connected but it's not so i gotta keep turning it off and back on or reset it. Got 3 of em called the Legend. They only last about a yr and something about the connectors go outta alignment and have to be reconnected which they offer on their website. On to Jabra.

I got a question, since you know your stuff with tvs... I got a lcd tv, and some soda got spilled down the back of it, it doesnt turn on now, but it worked for almost a year after the soda incident. The main power board is fine, got it tested, checked out the rest of the boards, and there seems to be no damage, or jumped traces... but it still doesnt turn on, got any ideas?

You also have to be careful when replacing the output transistors. Toshiba sold those to amplifier manufacturers as very closely matched pairs and they have to be replaced as such, otherwise it can have a detrimental effect on audio quality...but then they almost never go out...
A friend of mine has an old JVC receiver which uses the same bipolar class-A output stage...unfortunately the thing is in pieces and there's no hope of getting it working again (very obscure high-precision resistors blew themselves inside of it).
