If you do 3D work or use the middle button for any reason, be aware this laptop uses awful windows 10 "precision touchpad", so you won't be able to click and drag (like rotating or panning in any 3d software or autocad) using the middle button, it won't pass right click either, just emulates context menu as a gesture. Also altgr is mapped as alt+ctrl instead of different key

Battery backup sucks, you will get 2.5hrs max backup. It's not scratch proof. Display is good. Build quality is never good, you might need repairing it after some time use. Wifi adapter, keyboard lights are common issues.
Can you do review on acre's latest 11th gen iris xe laptops swift 5(2020) and swift 3x.Its new in market so videos on those are very less.

Dear all, I purchased Acer laptop Acer swift 3, model SF313-52-53QN on 7th Aug 2020 and with a month time screen of laptop started showing line on it (manufacturing and quality issue). On dated 16/10/2020 submitted laptop in Acer service center with ticket no.- 3713160I. Since then I repeatedly contacting Acer's customer care and mailing to Acer officials but nobody is sharing any concrete date for repair. Delay in repair of laptop has affected my online study since last one month. Brand like Acer should understand for students problem and also focus to improve their after sales service.
Mine just bought almost two months ago took care of it greatly but when I opened it one day it restarted, showed a qr code and the screen were frozen with straight hotizontal glitches. I didn't even put videos or unnecessary files in it just used it for autocad for just one month.

I have the 2018 version and its still a beast of a laptop
I have the 10th Generation Intel Core i5 variant of this laptop which lanched in January of 2020 and have been using it for a almost a year now. The performance was pretty good and I'm glad Acer balanced a thin ultrabook at this price-point really well. My Swift 3 has a USB-C Thunderbolt 3 port which is a nice addition. The Swift 3 is a pretty good value.

Bought one with the Ryzen5, 6 core with built in Radeon. The finger sensor works flawless for me. I can't be any happier at the price point. Seeking to change SSD and flash Linux, but the BIOS is limited. Overall its a good bang for your buck.
The finger print reader worked completely fine for me. It literally takes like 1 second to unlock and setting it up took like a minute.
Do they have an Intel processor variant for this laptop?
