I'm having trouble viewing movies on the tablet from usb
All these comments are up to 9 years old. My tablet can't do anything anymore.
Bought it in 2011 and it still works in 2018 going into 2019
Can it run pubg mobile ? :-)

If you're in the same boat as I was and need to find a replacement charger, the only ones I have found that are worth ordering (based on experience and reviews from others) are the "PWR+" brand on Amazon, and the OEM charger from Acer. The OEM charger is EXPENSIVE at over $30.00 shipped, but it will definitely work. The PWR+ one has good reviews on Amazon. I own both, since I need two chargers for home and work.
I just got this tablet for free as a hand-me-down. I really like the tablet (especially for the price! LOL) It does a great job for what I use it for. The ports are very convenient and good to have, even if you do not use them that often. You'd be surprised how frequently I use the full-size usb port to share files quickly on the run. My only gripe with this tablet is the proprietary charging port. Acer went with a very odd plug, and reliable replacement chargers can be spotty on Amazon.

i have this tablet 17 months and had no problems at all. The quality is more than average and i don't have to spend a fortune on a tablet.

They have had some quality control issues with the a500, but for the record, this is a great tab. I have one that I bought new 2.5 years ago, and my Dad bought one used approximately 3 months ago, and we both love ours. The USB functionality is great, I've plugged in a hub and used a USB Mouse, a USB Keyboard, a Flash Drive and a Xbox controller at the same time. Good build quality overall, and the Tegra 2 is still a fast processor. A great tablet if it can be got at a bargain. My dad paid $125.
my a500 died after one year. power switch went, acer wanted $200 to fix it after ONE year!I suggest you avoid this tablet.

Your review of the Acer Iconia A500 was very well done & it's helped me greatly in deciding on this particular tablet. It's March 2012, & right now here in the U.S. the Iconia A500's are going for about $250 to$300. I've researched info on this product & after watching your video, I think this is the one 4 me :)

If I was buying a tablet I would only go with Apple if they where absolutely proven to be the best. With experience with Apple devices, I have found they can be restricting and I have seen other devices offer more for less. Apple devices are good devices, I there is no doubt about it. Having said that, I am the type of person who buys a good device rather than a person who buys a good brand. So if it was me I would look at the Acer Iconia and other tabs and make a decision based on bang for buck
