I even play high end games with the 2gb graphics card. I dont bother about how lite the graphics is as long i can play the game im fine with it. its a workstation for me. i changed my ram to 8gb and hdd to ssd. It has all the options to change the hdd and ram. wonderful ACER!!

I'm writing this after having used this laptop for 3 years>lnfo.help/AcerAspir?ef and I mean "heavy" using it, I have used it every day for at least 4-5 hours for 3 years!, I use some ram demanding software (Autocad, Ableton, Photoshop, graphic design software) and this computer has never frozen on me, still up and running like the first day I bought it, all keys working fine, love the trackpad on this thing, I also love the finishing on it, after three years, not a single scratch! This is the best laptop ever.

Could easily buy a good condition used unibody MacBook Pro (2010-2012?) or a better Windows laptop like a Thinkpad for the same price or less. Had a bad time with 3 different Aspire laptops in the past and wouldn't recommend them, even with the SSD (which you could still chuck in just about anything!).
I really liked your review. I have this exact model, and about a month ago my 1T Toshiba hard drive totally CRASHED. I had concluded the same thing and added 8GB of Ram. I liked the laptop a lot.So I bought a "generic" Windows10 hard drive and got it going again. But I am interested in how hard it is to change the existing 320GB Hitachi Hdd to a SSD. I am a rookie. Can I do this without losing Windows again.Thanks for doing a goood review.

I have this and gotta say the only downside is battery life. It's below average. You only get around 2 hours on it.

I bought my ACER ASPIRE E5-523G-95NV at the end of 2017. Productivity user, not gamer. I use external keyboard, monitor, mouse, speakers. It ticked the boxes for me for 128 ssd, 2tb hd, vga, optical drive. I wanted something that starts up fast, has a tb of storage, a vga plug, 3.0 usb, optical drive.I liked it so much I bought a second one and am still pleased with them.
