Hi. I have had single sides deafness for 40 years and looking into various solution including Chochlear implant but not thrilled w having that disc sit on my head and what looks like a hearing aid on the ear. May simply continue to deal w the issue but a) are there any other new advancements and b) should I be seeing an ENT or an audiologist for info? Thanks!
I lost all hearing my right ear nearly 3 years ago, also dissatisfied with the CROS hearing device and am hopeful that I will qualify (insurance wise/etc) for the cochlear Implant. I have a Dr's appointment next month to hopefully get the ball rolling. This video was very helpful as I'm also nearly 50, lost 3 years ago, have pretty much normal hearing in my left ear, and suffer from tinnitus in my right ear. Pretty much this study and the result encapsulate everything I am hoping for: help in noisy situations, help with tinnitus, and overall help with my well being. Do you know if they used the Sonnet 2 or the Rondo,etc? My audiologist believes I would use the Sonnet 2 if things go my way. I only wish it was a little more discreet in size etc, thanks!@
Hi. Thank you so much for posting this video. I have recently gone deaf in my left ear and still have normal hearing in my right. I'm in the process of trying CROS technology, but thus far I'm disappointed with it, so I'm considering a cochlear implant. Will there be any more clinical trials whereby you need subjects? I would be willing. Thanks.
