hey there, i used this on my Cort Action Plus 4 stringer and this the Vox AmPlug Bass seems to have a lot of white noise, even when not connected to the bass. I tried to dial down all the dials and whatnot but that damn white noise persists. Have or anyone here you know of or someone i this commnets section faced that and if u cud let me know how to fix it, it would be awesome.
Does anyone know if this would work with Beats solo 3 headphones? Or even a little bose speaker? Just need something simple to start.
just got mine today and im using it with a beats 2.0 but why am i getting a white noise/hissing sound :( anyone had the same issue?
I changed the batteries on the mini vox amp, but I still hear a tiny bit of a hum/static. Is this normal??
Is a SX bass??
Hey can you plug it into a pedalbord?
I gotta get one of these when I get a bass
Can this amplug2 ( blues ) is capable enough to drive a beyerdynamic dt 770 pro 250 ohm headphone efficiently ?
I am using amplug2 blues but confused between an 80 ohm and 250 ohm headphone .
I wanted to know how this amp sounds and this was a GREAT demo. Thank you!!
Her Blue Sky brought me here.
"a little bit of noise"? the noise is all over!
Does it have any effects like delay, overdrive and etc? Or i can buy a guitar amplug and enjoy guitar effects? Thanks for ur video.
I FUCKING NEED IT NOWWWW, damn its awesome
The call of the bass was distant and quiet in years past, but I feel it's rumble deep in my loins and must begin to walk the path of musical boom booms! Those mini basses with one of these would let me wander light but jam hard, mmm hmm. Gimme like 3 years and it'll be HoboGardenerShittyBassPlayerBen
Wow does it really sound like how the video sounds?
Please make a video how to connect bass, vox, headset and cellphone for music source thanks
i have a question, i am a beginner bassist and i am asking if its compatible with the vox cabinet amp?
Currently..I think this Vox much better sound than new one brand Blackstar amplug 2 fly, I used this and I have compared it
Can this work with the vox cabinet?
What headphones would work the best on this device?
I’ve had mine for 2 months, and never knew the tempo could be adjusted! 😂 Thank you!!
It has 8 drum beats and 1 metronome, just press and hold the rhythm button while pressing the power button at the same time. You Welcome :) ENJOY
By mistake (not knowing there were so many flavors of amplug) I bought the VOX Classic Rock amplug to use with my bass guitar 🎸. Seems to work quite well with the bass. Has 3 reverb effects.
Is it true that this specific portable amp can be used in a guitar as well? I'm aware the question itself sounds awfully stupid but budget-wise I might have not enough money to buy two of this boys...
this was the best review i seen for the vox amplug2! how does slap and popping sound, clear?
this is soooo greaaat omg :)) I like that and your video:))
What bass model you used on this video? Like that looks like short scale deck. I am looking for my daughter's first bass.
I know that there's also similar one for normal electric guitar but can you also use the bass one you're reviewing with normal guitar?
Nice review. Thanks very much from a novice bassist in slightly grey, damp England. And that short-scale Talman bass is a cute-looking thing! :)
Sorry I'm just new to playing bass.. can I plug that to a vox cabinet speakers? Also where can you buy that jack converter?
I got a question, what headphones can I use for that? I don’t have professional music headphones I have these normal phone headphones is that compatible?
Thanks for the demo 👍
Great video!. Do you have to wear headphones to get sound out of the amp?
What’s up slappers
So as a beginner im guessing I can just get a aux chord n plug this into my speakers huh
How does this sound through headphones while playing bass? will it sound pretty good and accurate or distorted and lousy? i assume earbuds wont sound as good as a nice set of over the ear headphones?
Hi! bought one after watching your review. I am a bit confused on how to adjust the speed of the drums backing track? I tried to adjust the tempo one but it only changed its volume
Can you plug the vox amplug bass directly to you laptop for recording?
I have just ordered one , nice one for the review .
I bought myself one of these back in February - very good purchase!!
would love to have a copy of that backing track :D
CHOPS Palm Mutes ......... CRUCIAL in considering an amp!!
Hello thanks very good heart love playing. Good music wonderfull.
What the model guitar on the rigth please? I'm french i'm beginer in english :) you play AV 15 in the start?
Thanks for your rep
I got the AV30. I can say it has really good clean tones, crunch tones and overdrive tones, but you gotta learn how to tweak the amp and set it up just right. Not all channels sound good or it's not easy to get the best sound out of it. Great allround amp I think.
I had been on the hunt for a new amp for a while, something with valves that didn't need to be cranked. I watched this video probly 20 times before I bought the AV30 and I'll tell ya it is pretty effn great. Thanks guys
these 2 are the guitaring equivalent of the hairy bikers... but the rock these 2 are cooking up has no flavour.... add some funk an flavour it up...
i would like to hear chappers on papabear av60 would you do a vid on that?
i own the av60 papabear and i love the tone out of this amp amazing and rob and captain great job demoing this amazing amp awesome
Thanks for all your demos it really helps us to decide on equipment . Thanks a bunch
I just bought a Vox AV30. Great sounding little amp, loud enough to gig with. I'm only a bit concerned about the 120hz hum when flipping the reactor switch. There is also a lot of white noise when turning up the volume. Especially when turning up the gain to. Also is there a popping sound when I turn the amp on/off. Is this all normal?
More than anything, the look on your faces in this video made me seek out an AV60 online. You can't fake that expression of satisfaction. I loved it so much in the practice space that I bought an AV30, to keep at home.
Jan Akkerman uses these. He loves them.
Av15 or fender champion 20 ?
who have issue pop sound when turn off? is it normal?
Rob, I have asked before but whatever happened to that ESP t-style that you scalloped ?..I have always wondered because I have one like it but it has a lipstick pickup in the neck..anyway I love your channel..take care in these eerie times
Hi! Would you recommend a Vox AV60 or rather a Laney Cub 12? Thank you!!
I just bought my first guitar - Squier Classic Vibe 50s and now I'm looking for amp with warm tone for it. I'm going to play some British rock and metal from 80s (Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden) but also Clapton, Hendrix, Deep Purple, Rainbow. Is VOX AV15 worth buying in this scenario?
I dont see anything wrong with these amps. Ooh better than my v20
Fixed baffle is very much like a neck through, it increases resonance.
This one or the new mini vox super beetle? Which has the best vox sound ?
20 years ago $500 bought a lot more of everything then now.
Here's a list that helped me out.
In the end, I went with #9.
BS on low margin, ESPECIALLY the more expensive ones. Plenty of margin, MSRP is a fiction for the realm of B&M retailers. Forget nonsense like this, just do double-blind sound tests to determine the answer, see if "audiophile" "experts" can put their money where their mouth is. Another high-subscriber YT audio channel tested $100 Sony receiver and it drove 4-ohm speakers just fine. And that's really nothing new from "mass-market" brands. Or look at it this way; if his conclusion wasn't his conclusion , the very reason for the existence of this channel, and his whole hobby, would cease to exist. Have fun...
Hey gene audioholics what's d best receiver under $1000 and what u think about the new Yamaha rx v6a or tsr700
Will you get better quality sound from a stereo only receiver than a av receiver if you only use it for music listening?
what do you think about the denon avr x4700h ?
Respect the knowledge of this channel but all this channel does it make normal people think their $500 receiver is trash. I wish this channel focused more sometimes on budget AVRs and speakers. I have a WiSa Klipsch set up, thinking about going to a wired set up since Klipsch will send me out RP speakers at no cost due to malfunction of the WiSa speakers and can’t seem to find a receiver because channels like this make me think I need to spend 2k on a receiver
So I was looking into purchasing the Yamaha RX-V385 5.1 for my Pioneer SP-FS52 standing speakers but realized this receiver is an 8 ohms but someone told be I can change the ohms on the receiver to 6 ohms. I am a newbie but will this affect the sound negatively? My goal is to slowly build up a 5.1 surround sound but nothing fancy.
I have the Denon X4400H and miss my Denon AVR 4802 with the huge transformer. I'm no longer impressed with the big name stuff... I am getting out of the HT scene, and going back to two channel, Schiit Audio, SVS and Emotiva. Great sound on a budget. Tired of this rat race, and disappointed with the movie products out there, not much of anything coming out of Hollywood anymore, nothing worth spending thousands of dollars on to view in my home. Most of it insults my intelligence, along with much of this new "music".
Hi, thx for great vids!
Why arent there more and cheaper multichanel preamps? There are alot of active speakers for home use. I saw Canton have one.
So why not more of them? THE big brands are very expensiv.
Great video, thanks for sharing. I really like the detail you go into.
Great info Gene. Thanks for posting.
I have old p6 bw speakers then i bought a nad c356 bee amp it sounded decent then after 2 years it broke then i bought a 385 Yamaha for 250 big mistake, So what receivers would you recommend for a good acceptable sound 1200 mark?
One question, is a budget receiver ok if we use a good amp?
I had a Yamaha RX- V2600 for 12 years, great box. Started having problems so I got a Sony STR-DN1080. I have 20 year old B&W 601/602 and a Klipsch 12" and this new system blows away my Yamaha at half the price. Sorry, the clean dialog and mostly the 2 channel sweet spot on vinyl and cds with my Grant Fidelity tube amp is outstanding. My ear test for me of course,. Tile floors and a 5.1 system. Maybe the "brightness" of the Sony is well matched to wake up my B&Ws but I'll take it. Love your videos.
Watching this video on Emotiva XMC-2 => XPA-11 Gen3 => Airmotiv : What is clipping?
These videos are fantastic.
Can I buy SR6014 or AVR X3600H or AVR X4500H as I'm munch concerned of quality of sound and its details also intrested in preamp outs.
Which one is also very excellent at preouts where you can't find noise and distortion ?
But its not just about an expensive reciever I think. For music, Yamaha will always sound better than the Denon. I think it has to do with better dynamics, and overall sound quality for 2 channel listening.
I've got no doubt that more expensive, better built receivers with better quality parts and performance designs will sound better than cheap receivers... But why all the talk about 4 ohm speakers? Over and over 4 ohm speakers topic comes up. Why? Do you run car speakers off your AV receiver, or are you running dual speakers on each channel paralleled? Unless the reference to 4 ohms is to emphasize the potential of the receiver, but in that case I'd expect you to mention that. I do have a question though, that actually goes perfect with the subject of this video: I'm currently running a middle range consumer setup with the larger Energy connesuer speakers in a 5.2.2 setup with a Sony DH790. As someone who grew up with Harmon Kardon, I'm wondering if the Sony ZA810ES or ZA1100ES would make much difference. From what I understand, they're built a little more old school. Thanks, I look forward to your answer!
