Tried to purchase the PB 690 and without going into detail, through an error in purchase, I have been informed that Godox have recalled as potential fire hazard, message from eBay. Hope this helps, DG New Forest U.K. also there is a Li-ion one built in to flash.
Why not buying the Godox TT685 II F, with its 2 seconds , between flashes and 650 full power flashes between full recharge with its Lithium-ion battery and included charger with a full recharge under 2.5 hours ?
would this work for the xt4?
Rich Time, Love it.
Wow! I didn't know this battery! I have the flash, the trigger and the X-T3, so I'm going to get the battery!! Thanks so much!!
A other flash that I still have that out lasted my canon 30d, my Sony a6000 and now with my xt3, I use the canon 430ex ii. Had it for just about 15 years.
Godox ok but quality control very poor. I had three, two were faulty
And now I'm watching this video in 2021. almost 38k subscribers. Good video though thank you. Was planning to buy fuji xt3 n you got good content on that.
Do you know if I can use this with the new Fuji X-S10 please.
cosa ne pensi del Nissin i60 su Fujifilm x-h1? Grazie anticipatamente per la tua cortese risposta.
Complimenti per la tua simpatia e competenze. Ciao
Wanted to get a flash for my new XT4 and ran into this. Very informative video, great thanks!
I am xt2 owner..and this video is great
Hi pal! I love your videos! I have a question for you. I have the godox V1-F with the firmware upgrade 1.2 and the firmware 4.0 on the XT3. I've tried different settings combinations on the fuji menu and on the godox, but the AF assistance of the flash doesn't work...I'm asking why!!!??? I can't see the beautiful grid of the flash when I tell it to use the AF...what should I do??
Another great tip , keep em coming 👍😀
Does it work at X-T4?
Great work, great explanation Thankyou. I’ve been avoiding flash for fear of getting the wrong thing and spending loads of money on the wrong thing. You’ve just saved me a fortune, I’ll let you know if Santa brings me one and where it takes my photography to. Happy Christmas to you and your family, stay safe 🤩
Why does it say its compatible with Sony, Canon and Nikon cameras? This is the link right? https://www.amazon.com/Godox-External-Battery-AD360II-Speedlite/dp/B015OATWBI
Kept wondering why this was happening with my godox. Thanks for the solution!
I LOVE YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for YOUR precious time gifted to us
What language are you speaking? French?
Oui, mais je pense que le Nissin n'existait pas il y a 1 an et demi quand j'ai acheté ce fuji :)
Very helpful. Thank you!
I cannot access the "flash function setting" on my X-T20 (it's there but not lit up and I cannot scroll to it) Any ideas? Thanks!
Great info! Thanks again!
Great video, thankyou. What is that scale on the bottom of your screen and can I get it on my XT3? Is it the depth of field scale?
new knowledge, about the Fuji camera settings, thank you for the information
Why can't all photography tutorials be as straightforward and understandable as this. You do a great job, thank you!
Omar first of all thanks for all your great tutorials. Since I'm a complete beginner with a flash (I just bought a Fuji ef-42 for my Fuji XT-20) and I don't even know how to start using it / connecting to it at all, I would be very happy if I would also post some video for complete beginners - from installing the flash on the camera further. There are many symbols (TTL, sync - front, rear, M ect.) which I don't understand and your explanation from the very beginning would be welcome. Greetings!
Hi my name is Kashif saleem and I am from Pakistan and I am planning to buy a new xt1 which I am getting it @450 US$ with 1 year warranty .1st I would like you to suggest me is it good to buy at this rate in 2021 and 2nd I would like to know which Is a good flash for Xt1 and how will it work with it.
thanks much :)
Hey I'm the guy that made a Comment about your previous video where there's a joke about God's voice in a beginning of the video, I'm sure you remember my comment if you need it.
I'd like to say that I like this video, I find it very useful, especially not joke about God's voice.
All the best Omar .
Hello I've noticed in this video, when you make a photo with flash mode Manual, the M desappears and TTL takes over the M on top of the scale in your X-T3 . In the custom settings in my X-T30 it's constantly swithching back on TTL mode, i can't make it stay on M mode . In the Q the flash mode is set on M, but in the Menu system Major conflict
In my X-T30 (with XPRO F + 2 Godox AD200PRO) , 1 out of 4 pictures don't work, the flash don't go ! and i beleive it's the X-T30 that carries the problem . i did all necessary updates ! i don't understand. i had a photo-shoot with a comedian and more than 70 out of 350 shots are ruined .
Hello, do you make a custom white balance with flash ?
Learned something useful, thanks for the great work, and keep up the good work :)
Oh,my god so many settings! No wonder i can't get my Godox to work as i wish. It's not that often i use the flash, so i have to this every time? Then reset those settings when i'm using the camera normaly again? Thanks for all the tips Omar.
When using the flash, do you use the daylight white balance if you are using gels on your flash?
This is exactly why most photographers use natural light and say Forget the flash. Flash is too much trouble and so many settings.
My Lord, how can I remember all of these settings? That is the only thing about Fujifilm that is frustrating to me. All of the settings that make sense are either already on or already off, and you have to go in and turn them on or off.
I have a really basic question... If I'm in manual mode and have the exposure at 0.0 eV, why do I need flash? if I'm outside at night I can't set to 0.0 eV or my sutterspeed will be too long or ISO way too high. I am not understanding how to get the flash to go off with shorter shutter speeds and low ISO. Help! Thanks
HI Omar, I have Fujifilm XA5, it can't fire the flash on shoe and also can't work with studio trigger. What is the problem and how to solve it?
I tried to do this with an ad200 and I could not get the flash compensation to work, i was able to change it on camera but it didnt communicate to flash. Would be neat though.
I am not able to use godox 685f flash with my Fuji xt200 camera. The flash does not fire in any mode although flash is fully charged. I have failed to rectify the problem. I will be obliged if you can help me.
Probably be really helpful if you show the Flashes up close.
You were right as per usual the Godox was the one for me IE the price was right for a minimal flash user keep them coming . B.
I think for off camera flash the godox system is better geared.
I just put a Cactus V6II transceiver on Fuji X-H1 to a Cactus V6II transceiver on a Fuji EF-X500 and now have RC TTL and HSS with the Fuji flash. Sure, wish Fuji had done this out of the gate - but at least I don't have to brick my Fuji flashes. The Fuji EF-X500's are going for a song right now so they are actually darn near as cheap as getting a Godox system, which doesn't work as reliably as the Fuji flashes. Let's not forget that easy Fuji menu - which Cactus's menu is actually really simple also. Cactus tech support is very responsive.
Lithium or AA?
How is the Godox and Nissin with the X-T3, any issues?
So there is no way to wirelessly controll an EF-X500 other than optical sync? That kinda sucks...
Serious question. What flash would you recommend in 2107/18 for a Nikon D500? Nikon SB-800 or a Nissin i60a or Metz M400 or something else (I have a cheap Chinese knock off MK910 which is ok (I am getting my money worth from it), but I want something that is better built). I am looking for something that is battery efficient if possible with HSS (a must). I was hoping for a used SB-400 but it does not have HSS, unless you know a way to provide an older flash HSS through wireless or another method. Thank you.
Ken what about the TT350?!
a weak link in the Fujifilm system
Another one for you.
Metz M400. In my opinion the best stand alone flash for Fuji if you take into account size/power/price. In a 1 flash situation I haven't found anything I like better than that one. Check it out.
Kens got a couple of everything!
I have found the i60 to be the better deal...compact and powerful...I purchased 2 and the air unit...I'm gonna get 2 more...only problem I had with them was that they were too small for the Wescott rapid octabox and stripbox...I had to use a stud and spigot to make it fit...kind of clunky but it works. Not that I need it but I hope they have the HSS installed on the next 2 I buy. The i60 is not that expensive when you take into account what it offers. Totally satisfied with them.
Since Godox came out with the X1-F it allows me to use my X-T2 with my numerous Godox flashes. Had two Nikon DSLRs with me on a magazine shoot yesterday, yet found myself reaching for the Fujifilm. Very pleased with the performance and results.
Fortunately my experience with the 2 Yongnou's I have (Nikon mount but using on Fuji currently) ... they have been flawless. I've had them 5 years and work them quite a bit doing my wedding work. I've been very pleased with them. Also ... one of them fell in the lake 3 years ago doing a family shoot (wind knocked over my lightstand) and it was completely submerged. LOL. It stopped working immediately. I left it for a week, sitting on a de-humidifier to dry out and to my amazement it turned back on and seemed fine .... and to this day it still works!! LOL
For TTL, I've been happy with the Fuji X500. Should it fall in the lake I would cry.
You are the Fuji cheer mister! I got the i60 Nissan flash on your recommendation and it work great. Love your videos.
The Nissin may have the better interface, but Godox wins because of its ecosystem. Being able to control everything from the little TT350 speedlight all the way up to the QS1200ii studio strobe with the same remote, yeah that's a biggie. As to the remote, Godox has had the X32 trigger out for Nikon and Canon for a while, just not Fuji. The XPro coming out for Fuji should solve all of your dislikes of the X1 trigger, though I agree the X1 is not user friendly.
BH said that the Air Commander 10 is scheduled for release in Feb for Fujifilm...160.00
