Haha great video. This was my first External GPU when I got into pc building (Fixing an old free pc with free parts lol). Used it every day in my Pentium 4 pc until it died. it ran CS 1.6 and GTA 3 at a solid 30fps which was better than nothing. Didn't think anybody else had heard or cared about this card :P

ah i remember the days when buying a game depends on how much vram you have not the name of the gpu , my 8400gs was shit tho but better then my integrated intel e5300 dualcore gpu.
Back in the day this was one of the only low profile graphics cards you could get your hands on. Before the 210. Back then there wasn’t much you could do for SFF desktops. Thing was definitely better than the g33/g31 chipset gma 3100 I had that was basically Intel graphics but built into the motherboard. Now you can get something like a 1650.

Had this in a phenom 9500 HP system it was horrible but a 9800gt upgrade made it fairly decent.
And now in early 2021 with a graphics card shortage, this is probably all that's available now.
For Civilization V you should try stategic view, as that vastly simplifies the graphics and might make it playable, its the little tiles icon next to the minimap
I have what may be a Rev 2 that was built by "Galaxy" that I got sometime at the end of 2008/early 2009. It was better than whatever iGPU I had before, but still bottlenecked my Phenom 9750 I had in my OG build. That doesn't mean I didn't play games, which I did. The poor thing struggled to get a barely playable 720p experience in most games I played in 2009, such as Gmod, TS3, Prototype and a few others. I have it on a shelf as I made invaluable memories with it. not to mention it was part of my first build. Even though i'll never use it again, It's nice to still have something from my first ever build from late high school days, ya know?

Absolutely hated this card, what a piece of shit. Back in 2008 it had problems to run Oblivion and Gothic 3 with decent settings. Had to buy a new PC to play games.
