Hey hey supplement arent just for muscle growth and bulk. Protein doesnt make you bulk, it heals the muscles and shortens the recovery time so you can lift again faster meaning you get more in and thats how you get the bulk. I run, Im small and tiny, and I use protein and similar supplements for muscle recovery after long runs. Its not just for gym people. I eat, on the lighter side compared to most people. And yet it works for me

It all depends how much time/money you got to make your meals. A proper good food diet is really expensive versus just drinking shakes. However, a complete diet that base on real food is the best thing you can have and the results you get from it are far beyond any supplements.
My appetite sucks so I've been making my own 2500+ calorie weight gainer shake with: whey, gluten free oat powder, water (milk makes it too thick), 200ml of olive oil, a banana and some maple syrup. Drink this every day without fail. Bulk is going great.

Except for calorie apps like my fitness pal are rubbish. Every single one I've used I put in all my stats and guaranteed it will pump out a daily calorie count way above what I need. If i ate the calories they suggest I would be putting on a pound of fat every day.

I'm eating same food for around 7-8 months and I simple cannot put anything more inside me. I don't have appetite and food is gross. I started to workout back in 2016. but I had few breaks of 3-6 months but I never actually stopped eating proteing and carbs. I bought whey protein just to get bonus 20-40 grams of protein for better gains. + I'm cutting and I lost 4KG's for 12 weeks (from 80kg to 76kg) and I feel really good. I don't have belly, I didn't lose any muscle but because I don't eat junk food like spaghetti, hamburgers, pork etc. I can't get enough proteins for better gains from fish, chicken breasts etc.. It's also so disgusting...
For me everything is really about diet, but if you dont get enough protein from your diet maybe whey can be helpful.

I've been working out for over 20 years, its really about your diet and workout equals commitment. Supplements still can be a PITA to keep up with, even if the supplement said take for 90 days with 20oz of water, no need to diet , workout or even rest . People would still get off track in a few days because they want results in 90 seconds.
