UNBOXING & REVIEW ZRACE MTB 50MM STEM,, O DEGREE, ULTRALIGHT, CNC,
Great video! cheers
Thanks for the clear explanation! Great work!
also frame size is important. i'm only 5ft 11 but i find riding a classic racer 59cm (xl) frame , with an average stem length is the most confortable.
what do you think of the shock stop stem (suspension stem)
Whew these 40$+ for a stem is still too expensive for me glad I'm closer to SEA to get these stems at sub 30$ prices
I was riding upright position and yes I did get fitted for my body. never felt that kind of pain in my vertebrate. So I flip the stem had better control more comfortable. So upright position is not correct all the time .
Don't be late for school again
Tried to learn what length I should go for but could only ask myself why two Erdinger beer glasses are standing in an empty wooden basket.
Thanks for this video, loaded with information. Well delivered and presented.
great video! thank you
I had a 100mm stem on my Tarmac sl7 and experienced saddle soreness. My bike fitter shortened the stem to 80mm and that helped with my saddle being more comfortable. My new bike (long story) also had a 100mm stem and I felt stretched out with my arms almost locked out to have my hands securely around the hoods. So I changed the stem to an 80mm and my saddle is a little more uncomfortable than it was with the 100mm. Should I move the saddle back a smidge? Thanks for a great video
I appreciate the humor put it between the useful information. Good stuff!
Very educational thank you very much and more videos please you are very helpful!
I did a fitting, the bike was worse than when i went in. I had it set up already by myself, until everyone said get a bike fitting, it’ll be great. Not
Excellent, well explained advises.
What about when your knees hitting your arms while in the drops to short or just right
Nice calm, scripted delivery with lots of solid, practical info. Many thanks.
$350 for a bike fit then your fitter tells you your $1000 integrated handlebar stem is too short 😂
Most bike shop are a rip off, most have no idea, this is my experience.
Perfect its when u dont see front hub. In pro riders u see hub after bar. But its pro and agressive position
Have you noticed the difference in handling with a different stem? Let us know 👇
I did a bike fitting the other day and the shop recommended me to buy a shorter stem to have a better position (lowering the angle between my arm and body), I wonder why you didn't talk about the effect of stem length in that regards? (The shop also was proposing me a new saddle and sole, so...a bit of pushing his products..).
My stem is way to short, the junction box it's kinda sideways due to the stem, so I'm changing mine ASAP.. another experience is my bike can't go any faster then 30 mph because it wabble a lot even down the road it feels scary.. so I change the stem and let's see.. thank you guys
8cm here
I think i will go with a 35 Mil stem
Talking about stability…my mtb with 4” fat tyres feels squirrely at low speed, especially turning at very low speed, 5mph and under…the handlebars literally want to jack knife round. Eg: turning around in a narrow road. However, as the speed builds up it grooves much better….but unlike most bikes I have had, you absolutely dare not go ‘no handed’ for more than three seconds at any speed. Q. Is this normal for fat tyres?…or is it bad fork geometry? Advice appreciated.
Of course getting more experienced with the riding course had nothing to do with the times.
I like what you said is it still working? I didn’t listen to my mechanics to go less than 90. Refitted myself then worked on stem length 6 degree Much research followed even went to 60 then 70 after trying 80 Back to 80 not contemplating frame size or bike geometry I ride Felt VR6 and upgraded it wheels, pedals aero handlebars and a wee bit more Back to 80 now but considering my fitness level now but definitely understand if reach and fit 58 might be too large and I’m 6 ft tall Original 110 installed on an extreme downhill permitting my bike 43mph recorded Uphill an ant could have kept up. It was still hard to control going full gas downhill with 110 I haven’t tried this w 80 yet but it’s what I have for now and hope less twitchy so to speak. Than 70 Is the position on the bike specifically handlebars that compensate for more control with a shorter stem like 80 on a downhill experience? Eventually thinking a 90 stem due to reach because another bike isn’t in the picture for some time. And 90 would be the least as suggested from what I’ve researched. Ride on my friends, I’ll be there to💫🥰 Stay safe and Ride🎈
Shorter stem more oversteer. Longer stem more understeer.
The idea for bike frame geometry came from the skeleton of a bird. Our most efficient inventions always mimic living organisms. Let evolution do the perfecting for you. 🤗
What about the spacers? I see the top of the fork tube above the stem on your bikes.
I have a 25mm stem!
Don’t risk it, if your spending thousands then get a bike fit
My 56cm emonda originally had a bonteger 100mm stem and 42cm bars with like 95mm reach. I hated that bar. Too narrow for my shoulder width, and felt like a solid piece of aluminum... very hars h Went to a carbon 46cm Enve bar with 12* of flare And 80mm reach, Felt so nice, but my cockpit felt short Went to a 120mm stem. Perfecto. As for "the designers know what they are doing" for stem length... nah... they build mass production bikes to fit the "average" person in the middle of the fit range for each size. Of you are on the high or low side of the fit range or are an "overlaper" like me (at 6'0" I can fit a 56, but I can also fit a 58) you might find the touchpoints a wee bit off for you.

My height is 5'8 and my bike frame is size 48. My shoulders and arms are sore. Which length of the stem should I get? I have a standard stem.
For me the (old) rule; “when on the hoods, the fronthub should disappear behind your handlebar”, works fine. Really don’t know what it is based on... Have been experimenting this last season and went back to my former stemlength. And yes, the hub disappeared behind my handlebar again! But.... the whole bikefitting thing is about trial-and-error! (A brand like Giant has a reason for NOT working with exact framesizes). Furthermore; the fit changes when you yourself get fitter!
not a real test if yyou can't compensate shorter stem with same amount of longer reach frame. repeat the descend test with a 43cm chainstay, on a frame with 1030mm wheelbase with a 60mm stem, and you may feel stable enough, being less agile in the slalmom test. enduros and freeride, along with downhill, benefits of longer chainstays, gravel also can have more reach on front triangle along with super short and very short stems, enough twichiness, but really good stability (es bmc gravel) wasn't that the 'forward geometry' principle? I have a steel fearless vulture, and it's long, a very long bike in comparison to a road bike, 1028wb and 430cs, with a 60mm stem, on700x45c sliks, going down on 10% tarmac road is a real pleasure along with a 180mm front disc.
Hello guys I have a question. My height is 187 cm ,my bike frame size is 58, what size stem should I get , thank u very much guys
Laudness diferrence between music and Your voices is big and bit annoying. Make music more silent or Your voices lauder. Thx
